On the 15th April, Naimah released “UTHANDO LWAKHO” featuring Zambian superstar, Roberto as the follow up single to her upcoming debut EP #GoalDigger which is set to release on 13th May, 2022, and the song is causing quite the stir.
Revealing the artwork for her follow up single, designed by award winning SA Graphics Designer and illustrator, Tafadzwa Bero, Naimah and Roberto are the embodiment of love in the Afropop song, titled “Uthando Lwakho” which means “your love” in isiZulu. The mid tempo track is sure to become every couple’s and hopeless romantic’s anthem. Naimah describes her latest release as an afrobeat ballad which fuses R&B and Pop and we think lovers of good music will appreciate this timeless, easy listening masterpiece.
Asked about how the collaboration with Roberto came about, Naimah says she anticipated this collaboration for over 4 years. “I sent a demo of the track with an open verse and after 4 or 5 songs of doing this with other tracks, Roberto agreed to collaborate on Uthando Lwakho without hesitation. I was most excited and honored to work with one of my biggest Zambian inspirations.
