Two men have been charged in connection with an incident in Ballyfermot, in the early hours of yesterday morning, in which two gardaí were injured.
The men, aged in their 50s and 30s, are due to appear before court this morning.
The two gardaí, a man and a woman, were assaulted while responding to a public order incident outside a pub on the Ballyfermot Road.
After engaging with a number of people on the street, the male garda was attacked, punched, kicked and knocked to the ground during the assault.
His colleague tried to intervene but was attacked and dragged away by her hair.
The attack was filmed and posted on social media.
A woman in her 50s who was also arrested in connection with the incident was released, and is due to appear in court at a later date.
A man in his 40s was arrested yesterday evening as part of the investigation.
